Summary

As a kid I became enchanted with the possibilities of my first ZX Spectrum computer. This fascination for new and interesting technologies continued with the start of my IT career around 1995, thats when I learned to translate customer needs into IT solutions.

During the start of my career I worked as an IT Engineer but also as a parttime Trainer, teaching IT professionals how to implement and manage Citrix products, MS Exchange and Active Directory. Later on my teaching skills where put to good use helping transfer knowledge to in-house system admins when delivering new IT environments.

After evolving my professional career from employee to independent IT contractor/freelancer 8 years ago I designed and implemented numerous Citrix WinFrame, MetaFrame, Presentation server and XenApp environments for international companies and government agencies.

Working with Server Based Computing products for the bigger part of your professional life means mastering several different, but essential, IT pieces. Technologies such as virtualizing applications with App-V / Softgrid, migrating to Active Directory and optimizing the end-user desktop using products such as RES PowerFuse.

Always on the lookout for the “next big thing” in IT, I started learning as a kid back then and never stopped learning ever since.
